EmilyAnn
The veils look right for Summit Dominicans. Plus the one on the left looks like one of their postulants (you can see a bit of the blue jumper they wear).
That's what I thought. Side note, I just love the Summit Dominicans. They live in Erdőkürt and they also have a house in Novaj (near Eger where I live... during the breaks ). I have spoken with the smallest nun on the last picture Sr. Teréz (Therese, named after Saint Therese of Lisieux). They are allowed to come out from their monastery to some youth meetings . I also met them there. Their prioress said that prayer is the biggest apostolic deed as it reaches every corner of the world (I didn't put it between quotation marks that was the gist, or sg like that). The other pictures were taken in Hungary about the second order of Saint Francis. Poor Clares. They also have a praying period in the nature daily! They are called "hermits" according to katolikus.hu. They are dealing with spiritual directing and have two little guesthouses (hermitages). These informations are from the internet, I haven't even seen a nun like them.

I also met Sr. Teréz and the other sisters as well. I spent a week at their monastery at Erdőkürt but I must confess that I was happy to leave at the end of that week - I just had a strange feeling about that place... I stayed at their guesthouse but Rev. Mother kept insisting that I move into one of the cells within the enclosure when I really had no desire to do so. It was a rather strange experience to say the least. Their expiatory 'apostolate' is nice and everything but I'm quite certain it's not where I'm called to. I also spent a few days with the Poor Clares in Szécsény but they're totally different from the Poor Clares in the US. These nuns go out in the street to walk to the nearby Franciscan church to go to Holy Mass... I hope and pray that someday we'll have some traditional cloisterd contemplative nuns in Hungary too... I'll try and PM you and we can perhaps chat in Hungarian?! (I haven't used the PM function before so I hope I manage to figure out how it works)
Gemma
Please start another thread on this community! Could you also please share search criteria for Hungarian communities? Our UK/Europe group would be interested in learning about it. In case you wish to join, here is the link: Http://groups,yahoo.com/group/catholic_vocations_uk_europe/ The practice of receiving a room within the enclosure and keeping a job is European. You'd be hard-pressed to find that in the States. The Norbertine Canonesses in the Netherlands told me about doing that. Our concept of the Vocation Incubator is sort of based on that. If you can find the book "Harvesting in Hungary" please read it. The Society of Mary Reparatrix produced it after "Margit Anya" died. I don't recall her religious name. She proved how much one can do from the parlor. Blessings, Gemma

Chiquitunga
miles Christi, thank you so much for posting these! I love the traditional postulant dress, although I love it best with a veil, but I've noticed a few Spanish Carmels (very traditional nonetheless) have it this way, like Valladolid - eg Sr. Magdalena of the Eucharist Écija has the white veils though, http://www.carmelita...o-k2-/index.htm like in the Teresa de Los Andes movie Several US Carmels do too (Buffalo, Brooklyn, Alexandria, Wichita, Valparaiso, Elysburg & Iron Mt. but with a black veil .. probably there are others) Anyway, these are only externals of course :j p.s. so razzle dazzle that she entered there from Hungary!
