Well I don't know EVERYONE...

I think it's just a small world and people "pop up" in the most unexpected places. I've been around a bit....I'll give you that. I just happened to be visiting a friend who has a long time connection to Stanbrook and Sr. Philippa, who was here in the US at the time, was visiting the same person.

We liked each other right off and have kept consistent contact though we are across the pond from one another these days. In fact, I have lots more contact with SP than I do with the woman I was visiting way back when we first met.

Go figure.

These are the Sisters of the Company of the Cross, and their foundress, Saint Angela of the Cross, was canonized by JPII in Madrid in 2003. They are the Spanish version of Mother Teresa and the Missionaries of Charity. Their spirituality is Franciscan, they are very prayerful and austere, serve the poorest in their homes etc. and wear the original habit.

There is very little about them in the web, and is mostly in Spanish, but you may want to try Google translator:

Here is some good information in English about their foundress, Santa Angela de la Cruz -Saint Angela of the Cross. Regreatably the heading (and picture) is mistaken, as it says, St. Agnes of Bohemia but does not match with the text, which is about St. Angela of the Cross.
