Okay, so I will just bring one bag if I can take it with me (about 2'x1'x1'). I'll be wearing my interview clothes, and be bringing an extra set for the next day. Our parish priest, Fr. Tuttle, is giving me a blessing tomorrow after mass to try to calm my nerves. I bought a few travel size items. Then I'll bring my Bible, portfolio, catechism, and a book to read on the plane...

Yes. While I realize that everything will probably be fine, you don't get to pull off the road if the plane breaks down.

Or if a demon decides to rip the wings of the plane HSMOM!

My rosary and a pillow are my two favorite "comfort items" on any flight. Coming from someone who flies internationally on a yearly basis.

I used to like the window seat the most but now the aisle seat is my preference. I got tired of "hurdling" over people. With the aisle seat I can get up and walk around, and go to the restroom when I darn well please.

Yeah, but if you really like the aisle seat and want the view, wouldn't it be great if they could make a whole plane out of clear plexiglass? Maybe transparent aluminum like in Star Trek...

Of course, I think Wonder Woman probably has the patent on invisible jets. <_<

Good Luck to you. I was a first time flier last March, and had to make a connection. I think that was my hardest part. Thinking I'd get lost in the airport or something. But I figured out that they make Airports extremely user friendly. I was a complete wreck, but once I was up in the air and back down once, I was hooked. I've since flown out of Detroit Metro twice and its been great both times. Now I dig the whole experience, and I'm looking forward to another business trip this year.

God Speed!

Well, except we don't want the restroom to be made out of clear plexiglass... :lol_roll:

I went on a plane for the first time since I was 14 this January. (I am 22 now.) I was terrified. The worst parts are the take off and landing, other than that you are not that aware of being on a plane. Gum helps.... during take off and landing as well.
