Paladin D
Hey guys, I'm not sure where to start, there is so much to cover and I somewhat feel overwhelmed. But I'll give it a shot and start of by saying this: I feel as if I'm behind the times. The last two years, I haven't been very active on Phatmass as I used to in the past. The cause was due to my lack of interest in hardcore apologetics during that "era", and also changes in my life (graduating from High School, then landing my first full-time job at Applebee's). During that two year period, I would every now and then post for a few days, then take off. I fully regret this, and because of my actions I feel that I missed a lot in this wonderful community. There were friendships that had the potential to flourish but didn't, because I didn't contribute much back. I don't know why this happened, but it just did. One example of why I feel as if I'm out of the loop, is the recent wedding of L_D & Luthien, and the engagement of Micah & Jennie. Last time I talked to any of you four directly was before any official business, now I find out you guys tied the knot. Not to mention the other familiar faces I do not see here that often anymore, or at all. I feel I betrayed this community, even though I technically did nothing wrong, but I feel I did. For this, I apologize. Don't get me wrong, there are some individuals from PM that I regularly keep in contact with, but not as many as I should have, considering my long history with this community. I still remember when I first registered with this forum in the spring of 2003, as a Catholic who was slowly reverting back to the Faith, seeking the Truth. So many individuals aided me in my return to the Church, one that comes to mind is Max, aka Ironmonk. He was the most aggressive of the bunch, and we exchanged constant e-mails to each other, I will never forget his vigiliance and dedication. Of course, Phatmass has grown so much from it's tiny handful of devout users now that it's hard to keep track of all the newbies that hop aboard. There's nothing wrong with this. Growth is a good thing, especially if it's new devout Catholics who are passionate about Christ and His Church. I'm just pointing out that from my long semi-abscence, to catch up it'll be a very daunting task. Another disappointment is how I've gotten somewhat bored with Catholic apologetics. Not that I find apologetics boring in of itself, but with the changes in my life that are happening, apologetics has been put on the back burner. I still remember spending hours just studying, now I'm lucky if I even engage in a religious debate. I want to get back into it, but not sure if it'll be very soon. For those who don't know what has been happening with me lately, I recently (honorably) quit my job at Applebee's. I was a dedicated employee of a local Applebee's that was constructed and opened it's doors on January 16th, 2006, I was there since day 1 (my first job too). Had a lot of good memories working there, and made some good friends. I quit specifically to give myself plenty of time for the next few months, to train and prepare myself for enlistment in the U.S. Army. I don't know what made me create this thread, but I feel that I should express to you guys how I feel. Despite all of this, Phatmass keeps bringing me back, especially the people and memories I have here. I feel as if everyone boarded the train, and I stayed behind at the station, and watched as everyone enjoyed their trip to whatever destination it was. I blame no one, it's no ones fault, it's just how life plays out sometimes. There are still quite a number of you I want to meet face to face, hopefully it'll happen someday down the road. You guys are a great gang of people, and I'm sadden that I somewhat of disappeared from you all. I hope those who may have been offended for whatever reason, can forgive me. If any of you (especially the old gang) want to catch up on things, give me a shout. I'll do the same. By the way, how is the Aftermass cd coming along? Note: It's 2:30am, so my grammar and structuring may be off. Edited May 2, 2007 by Paladin D

Ash Wednesday
Wow.... well, you know, Phatmass is great but sometimes life just gets in the way. It's all good... nice to see you Paladin. It's not like I'm on here all the time, either. Your helmet is pretty as always.
Paladin D
I belong to quite a number of forum communities, but Phatmass to me is more personable out of all of them. Simply due to the fact that Phatmass was very instrumental in my conversion back to the Catholic faith, so I have more of a special attachment to this place. I hope I didn't sound too emotional. Azriel
Once you are part of the Pham - you are part of the Pham for always. Kinda like the Mafia. Only harder to leave. Lord knows I've taken my breaks. Heck, look at my post count, and join date. Life sometimes gets in the way. And that's ok, as long as you check back in once in awhile. The pham will always be here for ya! prose
I've been here for a while, and people STILL don't recognize me!! Not to mention, I could never get invovled with the romantic loops on here b/c I never remember anyone's real names Anyways, to make this brief: I remember you. I remember specific posts of yours. I still think you are cool. I am glad you are back. I think apologetics is one of those things that ebbs and flows in people's lives. Sometimes, I study all the time and debate. Other times, I am more just of a conversationalist. Doesn't make any of us less or more Catholic Your pham still loves you, even when you go away for a while. SJRod55
Glad you are back. I have said it many times before Phatmass is a close community that strengthens those who have been fortunate enough to find it. Even in FAR, FAR away places such as Australia and Albania!
