Aloysius
and that's what it comes down to: I'm rubber you're glue. see that they say the same things about us on their boards that we say about them here. it's a very interesting divide in perspective we have here; their perspective ruled by this fundamentalist defense mechanism that keeps them in a comfortable position to throw out any claim and never make their position vulnerable to critique. Budge
Actually its lousy displays of it. Satan trying to mimick God, which is exactly what those apparitions are about.

He'd never use someone's pride against them. Being able to personally interpret Holy Scriptures (even if your interpretation goes against several thousand years of teaching) is a sign of the Holy Spirit. (But only if your interpretation coincides with Budge's.)
Brother Adam
Since Budge decided to post the initial attempt an an ongoing effort to come up with a fair contest at his message board, I've been personally reamed left and right. I can't imagine what it must be like to harbor such hatred in ones heart. I've been praying they find peace and forgiveness in Jesus Christ. Budge
No one hates you, but they are finding your rules a bit overwhelming. Dont you think even dictating the exact font is a bit of an overstretch? And demanding people's names and addresses? [come on, that also goes against most internet protoccol] Thats why people are a little bit miffed with you. Why make things so rigid? Just run the contest and see what happens...you dont have to make it so formal.

If you raised the amount of the prize to $1,000 or even $10,000, then you might have a reason to be so strict. After all, who can put a price on ideas? Ideas are powerful things which change peoples' lives drastically, so your prize offering should reflect this idea. Edited May 5, 2007 by eahaddix
