MissyP89
Congrats to you and your little(ish) one! We had First Holy Communion Mass at my parish yesterday...folks came out of the woodwork and the place was packed! The kids were so cute. It made me nostalgic--I was seven when I first received, and had no front teeth. Hehe. (And don't get me started about how somebody's cell phone rang in the middle of the Consecration--hoo boy...) And mmm, ice cream!
Maggyie
I guess this weekend was a big one for first Holy Communions! We had some at the parish I was visiting, although they were at the later Mass, not the one I went to. I kinda wanted to go to Mass again just to see the cute little kids... they're always adorable! White Knight
I'm Happy for Him, this is a very special moment for him, being able to receive Jesus is always special though, but the first time is always a shock, its very very powerful. God Bless You HSson
Azriel
I'm sorry I missed wishing you congrats earlier. But, here are some belated ones.
cathoholic_anonymous
So, possibly adding to the but, when HStot is no longer a tot, what will you call him?
We're Catholics. Let's do the Latin thing. HSson Major and HSson Minor! (In some very traditional English schools this custom is still kept up when two brothers are in the school together. If there is yet another brother, he becomes Minimus.) Anyway...congratulations, HSson! "May God be with you always and in every place." - Blessing of St Clare. Katholikos
Does HSmom have the little booklet that explains the San Damiano Cross in detail for educational purposes? Written by that priest (president or chairman emeritus or . . .) at Franciscan University whose name I can't remember at the moment. Scott Hahn's boss. homeschoolmom
Thank you. I love that crucifix and I knew HSson would (he does) because it's so visual... and it's something that he can have his whole life.
