I lead an interesting life. The worst part about drag queens is that they can walk better in heels than I can, and they get cuter guys, and they look better in a swim suit. It's kinda upsetting that they are better models of feminity than I am. Sorry that got off topic. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Paladin D Posted April 28, 2007 Share Posted April 28, 2007 Is this a real Catholic parish, and a real Catholic priest currently serving the local diocese in the area? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Budge Posted April 28, 2007 Author Share Posted April 28, 2007 Yes this is real. And your second in command at the Vatican...Levada actually appointed the guy running all this..>Father Merriwether as diocese chancellor. CATHOLIC SOURCE...by the way
Most Holy Redeemer and its pastor, Fr. Stephen Meriwether, have long been involved in homosexual activism. Last September, the “Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence,” the “leading-edge order of qwerty nuns” whose official slogan is “go forth and sin some more,” held a bingo fundraiser at the parish’s Ellard Hall. Another bingo fundraiser was scheduled for early November, but on Oct. 31 the San Francisco archdiocese canceled it and the Sisters’ lease on the hall. Shortly afterward, Archbishop George Niederauer removed Meriwether as archdiocesan chancellor, making him instead the chancery’s director of ecumenical and interreligious affairs, a position he still holds. Niederauer also briefly suspended Meriwether from his pastoral duties at Most Holy Redeemer. Archbishop (now Cardinal) William Levada appointed Meriwether as chancellor in 2004.
Any of you wondering what is going on in your church, since Levada who is such a high ranking Vatican official put this guy in this place? Budge Posted April 28, 2007 Author Share Posted April 28, 2007 One thing that is interesting if you MARRY in two days BANG youre GONE, youre outta there. Hold drag queen parties in the basement, a gay mass? A few days out, and your job is intact. With Levada having appointed this guy... Some of you better be praying and asking some serious questions... Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Budge Posted April 28, 2007 Author Share Posted April 28, 2007
Scandalous San Francisco 'Gay Pride' Pastor and Chancellor Back in Saddle after "Leave" By Hilary White SAN FRANCISCO, November 17, 2006 (LifeSiteNews.com) - The pastor of Most Holy Redeemer Catholic parish in the heart of San Francisco's heavily homosexual Castro neighbourhood, is back in his position after spending some time "on leave from his duties," following a scandal involving a homosexual activist group. Father Stephen Meriwether, who also serves as Chancellor of the San Francisco Archdiocese, was placed "on leave" after his permission to allow a virulently anti-Catholic homosexual activist group to hold "revival bingo" games was revealed by faithful Catholic bloggers.
{AND LOOK NOW HE IS BACK HOLDING A GAY MASS< HIS JOB INTACT!}
Earlier this month, World Net Daily reported that Most Holy Redeemer parish had hosted a fundraising event for a group considered by Catholics to be one of the most offensive homosexual activist groups in existence. The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, a loosely organized association of gay men who dress up in bizarre mockeries of nuns' habits in homosexual parades and demonstrations, was invited to hold their "bingo games" at the parish that is a centre for homosexual activism in the local Catholic community. World Net Daily reported that a parish employee informed them that Fr. Meriwether was aware of the group's presence. The games at Most Holy Redeemer were described in a local homosexual newspaper, the San Francisco Bay Times, who said the event included sexually explicit activities. Prizes included porn DVDs and "sex toys" the paper said. The "Sisters," whose motto is "go and sin some more" and describes itself as a "leading-edge order of qwerty nuns," planned to hold regular bingo games including one that featured, as master of ceremonies, "Peaches Christ" on the Feast of All Souls, the day on which Catholics traditionally pray for their dead. The money raised by the games was to go to a number of AIDS and homosexual organizations including the parish's own AIDS outreach group. After a local Catholic posted information about the event to the popular 'blog of Catholic apologist and writer, Mark Shea, the Archdiocese issued a statement on Oct. 30 saying that permission should not have been given and the group's activities at the parish were to cease "immediately." Archdiocesan spokesman Maurice Healy said, "For years the group has directed contempt and ridicule at Catholic faith and practices... Fr. Meriwether is on leave from his duties." Another Catholic blogger and former editor of the magazine Catholic World Report, was sceptical of the veracity of the Archdiocese' action. "This is public relations damage control," Domenico Bettinelli wrote. "A true attempt to stop the scandal to the faithful and assert Church teaching would take stronger and more public steps. This sounds like they're doing just enough to take the heat off without having to do anything substantive that would annoy certain people." The "Sisters" issued a statement saying that they were "stunned and deeply saddened" by the action of the Archdiocese in cancelling their events. "The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence believe that our commitment to giving is in alignment with the philosophy of the Archdiocese of San Francisco, which represents a cross-section of the San Francisco population," the statement said. Bettinelli's scepticism seems to have been justified. Most Holy Redeemer parish website now carries a notice for a celebratory pancake breakfast, set for November 19, in honour of Fr. Meriwether's return from "leave." The parish website carries a message from Fr. Meriwether saying, "You will find the good people of our parish old, young, married, gay, lesbian, transgender, affluent, homeless, blue-collar, converts, cradle Catholics, radical, traditional, questioning, fervent." The website also includes links to various homosexual activist groups including Dignity San Francisco, the Gay Catholic Forum, the Conference of Catholic Lesbians, and the dissident anti-Catholic organization, Voice of the Faithful. Father Meriwether was appointed to his post as archdiocesan chancellor by the former archbishop of San Francisco, William Levada. Levada is now a cardinal and serves in Rome as the head of the Vatican's Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith. As such, he is considered the second most powerful man in the Catholic Church. San Francisco Chronicle reported in 2005 that Levada once told parishioners that he enjoyed visiting Most Holy Redeemer because it was among the most welcoming in the diocese. The website of the parish features photos of Fr. Meriwether blessing the regular parish contingent of marchers preparing to participate in the San Francisco "Gay Pride" parade. Included is a shot of Fr. Meriwether sprinkling the marchers with holy water while wearing full Mass vestments. Marchers from Most Holy Redeemer carried a banner sign and marched in the parade as a group. The photos show participants carrying the homosexual emblem of the rainbow flag and wearing t-shirts with the slogan, "Most Holy Redeemer, Pride 2006".

What is not addressed in the report above, obviously, is that William Levada enjoyed the complete confidence of Giovanni Paolo Secundo Il Grande and was chosen personally by Benedetto il Sedicesimo to replace himself as the Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith. The reporting in the story above is quite good. It is outstanding. The dots, however, continue to remain unconnected. The men who are responsible for these scandals are the conciliar popes, who have chosen fellow conciliarists to serve as the ostensible bishops of Catholic dioceses without regard for the documented reports that are sent to Rome about how these conciliar appointees countenance open dissent against the Faith on the part of their subordinates, who remain in perfectly good "canonical standing." The situation at Most Holy Redeemer Church in San Francisco is not an anomaly and it is not an ecclesiastical state secret. Indeed, the situation is very well known.
LINK--CATHOLIC SOURCE Here is the link to what these PERPETUAL SISTERS ARE ALL ABOUT...[this is the cleanest link I could find, the rest of that site, has sexual content in the names they use for themselves--so here is a severe warning if you go elsewhere to look at the rest of the site] http://thesisters.org/meet_farflung.html What is intersting is how this group is MOCKING Catholics, and the guy who ran this show, has his job STILL INTACT and is now doing his gay mass thing. You all better start asking some questions. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Budge Posted April 28, 2007 Author Share Posted April 28, 2007 Terra, is this another way to say "I dont care"? This isnt just some sinner...on the fringes this goes right up to the SECOND man in CHARGE, LEVADA who APPOINTED THIS GUY and NO ONE IS DOING ANYTHING ABOUT IT. His job is intact. If he got married or ordained a woman, hed be OUT THE NEXT DAY, so dont give me the excuse they cant do anything about it, because they can. It is nonsense when you point to the official teachings saying that only they matter, when Jesus taught us to judge by the fruits. In fact one reason evil and corruption has grown so bad, is APATHY like YOURS. Sorry to say it so blunt, and it isnt just in the Catholic Church, but your apathetic attitude, says IT ALL. Budge Posted April 28, 2007 Author Share Posted April 28, 2007 homeschool, so IM the problem instead? Sometimes I ask myself, how can people be so UNCARING. How can people look at such BLANTANT evil...{remember there are TEENS in that church who will have their minds poisoned] and point to me as the problem. One reason I am no longer Catholic is the apathy. Catholics have been taught to never stand against evil, and on this board it shows. Sure one or two Trad Catholic types may actually say THATS WRONG. The rest of you shut your eyes, say a few platitudes about sinners, and thats it. I guess the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence will benefit by your apathy. And all the kids in that church and people in the nation who are being affected by miltant homosexuals and their messages promoting things against Gods commandments, will grow even more vulnerable. Of the 1 billion members, thousands of priests and hundreds of bishops and cardinals (all of whom I'm sure you've interviewed) none of them is doing anything about it? Your purpose in posting this is to shake the faith of Catholics on this board, get us to question our decision to remain in this church because of the sinners who are part of it. I'm saying, the sinners who are part of this church don't shake my faith one bit. Even the ones whose sin directly involves me. Why? Because I know that the Church teaches truth, no matter how poorly some of her members evidence it. And I know that the Holy Spirit will protect the Church from the gates of Hell. So do I care? Yeah, it's a travesty. But does it make me question my faith? Not one bit. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Bbc is not a well known network, and surely does not have "actual stories" that can be proven. If your going to accuse the Catholic Church of anything, good or bad, please, use a creditable source and not some hoaxy "aintgotjack" website. First of all Catholics like with every other scandal that has come to the hit the Church, the Majority of the Church does not condone any of this, and actually condemns and rejects these insults to us, so even if this were true, the Majority does not support this what so ever, like with everything else that violates the Teachings of Christ and His Church, its not premitted, nor is it a majority belief.
