jasJis
Soft instrumental seems to be the perfect compromise. A little music so people can understand it's a time for meditation...No Chatting. But soft, without words so we can meditate and/or sing praises in our hearts.
M.SIGGA
I can't wait to sing praises after communion! Let my heart burst forth it's joy at recieving the Lord and after that I can settle down and do some solid prayer in silence. I just wanna sing right after communion! I with you I can't wait either. Since singing praise is allowed, all the silence suggestions are a matter of opinion. Why does a Song of Praise other than chant have to be automatically considered entertainment? If you go to a mass soley because they have chant, just like people go to specific churches only for the lifeteen style or gospel music, that's also seeking entertainment. God Conquers
Very true, depending on your preference, whicher music type you enjoy is entertainment. Also, why shouldn't it be entertaining? Should we not enjoy praising God? Would we not enjoy it more, and praise him all the harder, if the style entertains us?
