And we all nodded, and he said, "So, what are non-French Canadians called?" And we all stare at him, waiting for some sort of punchline. And then he said, "No, seriously...I'm asking you! What are they called? I don't know!" We're all like
Square heads. Or Sinking English P****, but I don't think I should repeat that on phatmass. Didacus
well, canadians say "eh?" while the closest american equivalent is "huh?". decidely not as cool. and when americans(that means you!) try to sound canadian, instead of sounding like "A", it gets more nasally and like "AYE" as in pirates. at least if canada and the usa ever are at war well will easily be able to tell the american spies. border guards: "how do we know you are canadians, eh?" spy: "well, im coming back home to stock up on fur hats and canadian bacon, AYE!" *machine gun fire* and then a dying gasp... "Huh?!"
Should we tell them about the americans who tried to feed smarties to a bear?

Didacus
How come Canada has the maple leaf, anyway? The Aussies still have the Union Jack.
Truth and no BS; When it was the time to choose the flag, several options depicted the Union Jack on the flag, however, this caused a serious outcry from Quebec (who of course wanted the 'fleur de Lis'). This made for irreconcialable differences between the only two groups in Canada at the time and the only way to resolve this was to have neither (neither the Union Jack nor the Fleur de Lis) and thus the Maples leaf was chosen as a neutral option. Typical letters sent to the canadien government of the time were at least at one time on display at the museum of civilisation in Ottawa.
