So, we walk into theology one day, and the teacher looks at us all and asks, "So, Canuk referrs to French Canadians, right?" And we all nodded, and he said, "So, what are non-French Canadians called?" And we all stare at him, waiting for some sort of punchline. And then he said, "No, seriously...I'm asking you! What are they called? I don't know!" We're all like :idontknow:
They're all Canuks where I come from (Way N. NY--45 mins from the border... in fact, our mall has both the American and Canadian flags flying lol)
and canuck is really more for english canadians than the french.
Thats what I was thinking, but I've only ever run into a couple French Canadians...
well, canadians say "eh?" while the closest american equivalent is "huh?". decidely not as cool.
and when americans(that means you!) try to sound canadian, instead of sounding like "A", it gets more nasally and like "AYE" as in pirates.
at least if canada and the usa ever are at war well will easily be able to tell the american spies.
border guards: "how do we know you are canadians, eh?"
spy: "well, im coming back home to stock up on fur hats and canadian bacon, AYE!"
*machine gun fire*
and then a dying gasp... "Huh?!"
:rolling: Thats hilarious! But seriously, I don't think I've ever heard someone say "Aye"... maybe its because I lived so far north the accent isn't as strong. I say "eh" to rhyme with "hey" not "eh" to rhyme with "eye".

Don't mind if I do :coagulated milk:. Aye, I enjoy some coagulated milk, eh. Don't even get me started about being Canadian. Funny thing is, I don't wear a toque (not in this season), I don't say aboot, and I am aware of what goes on in America. I don't mind being called a Canuck. I don't know so-and-so in Alberta... though I'm sure he/she is a nice person. I Am Canadian, yo!

Well, then what are you good for? 30 million vs. 300 million. I should think there'd at least be a chance you know someone in Alberta. :P:
