RezaMikhaeil Posted May 2, 2007 Share Posted May 2, 2007 I don't like hearing the phrase "The Catholic Church preserved and compiled the Bible" in the context of the Roman Catholic Church because Copts [among other rites] also contributed. Infact St. Athansius wrote the Nicene Creed, St. Cyril was also very present in a council following. It wasn't just a Roman Catholic thing... but rather pre-schism Church, that compiled it and preserved it, which was more then just the Roman Catholic Church and those that adhere to it's Patriarch as "supreme".
