*shrugs* I would have no problem with this...if those in charge of our government allowed other faiths to have public schooling as well. But as T-Bone pointed out, some heads might explode.

Edit: Misread at first. If it is a cultural school, then why not, if there is a population of said culture to support it?

The purpose is cultural, not religious. The School's even named after a Christian.

The article says that New York has many schools based on specific things. Learning about Middle Eastern culture, politics, and religion is very essential for these times. There are many jobs that would require it nowadays, especially in the field of politics. Besides I doubt people would make so much of a big deal about such a school compared to this one.
