Apotheoun
When I was a Protestant I found the seven letters of St. Ignatios of Antioch very interesting and informative.

Justified Saint
If you're looking for a good book by Chesterton, consider Heretics which he wrote before Orthodoxy. The title may seem a little off-putting at first, but it doesn't refer to Protestants. The book mainly targets atheists, agnostics, socialists etc. Meaning of Tradition is a good book, but as I recall there is a section in there that tends to polarize the two camps when Congar considers the Protestant position, and that could come across as being a little apologetic. Maria
The Everlasting Man! Really, if your brother doesn't like evolution... well Chesterton starts by showing that, if man is merely an animal, then he is completely unlike all other animals. Then he does the same thing for Christ re other men. It isn't specifically Catholic, but if your brother is able to like Chesterton, this should get him hooked, and then he can read Orthodoxy. Unfortunately The Catholic Church and Conversion isn't that interesting.
