Thy Geekdom Come
All false religions do have a mystic bridge connecting them. its called MYSTERY BABYLON. Youre talking to the ex-Unitarian Universalist remember? I have a beef with Catholics who have no qualms with promoting Buddism on their avatar. It definitely shows the UNIVERSALIST mine set. There are two religions in the world essentially, one where you become born agian in Christ and let God save you, or you try to "work" your way to heaven. Catholicsm is in the latter boat.
I have a beef with fundamentalists who have no qualms promoting only nine commandments on their avatar. Budge, if mystery babylon is such a mystery, why do you know so much about it? Oh, and saying that we believe we can work our way to heaven is a strawman fallacy. I know you know better. We've shown you before that that is NOT what Catholicism teaches. God bless, Micah

Winchester
I would not say there is a "mystic bridge," nor would I say there is a "mystical bridge." Either term could seemingly approve the errors in other religions. Certainly most religions have truth and untruth mixed in together. There is much truth in the Muslim religion, but there are also errors. The foremost error in all non-Christian religions is the denial of Jesus as the Messiah. Whatever other truths they may teach about morality or theology cannot make up for this primary error. It is our duty to recognize the truths and point out the falsehoods in the hope of winning them to the one true faith, which is Catholicism. Budge
One thing about Mystery Babylon is it mixes, morphs, blends and forms hybrids without restraint.
part from vague notions that it somehow involves animal sacrifice and is a “syncretistic” religion blending Catholic and African beliefs, most Americans know little, if anything, about Santeria. Yet it is probably the most-practiced religion in Cuba and is growing in the United States, De La Torre says in Santeria: The Beliefs and Rituals of a Growing Religion in America by Eerdmans.
Notice PLEASE, how around the world, Roman Catholicism BLENDS so easily, with AFRICAN witchdoctors, Mexican goddesses, Bolivian spirits, and Hindu pantheism. In short, Roman Catholicism IS the blend of older European pagan rites, and now is being infused with broader and more universal pagan practices....BECAUSE they are not anchored in God's WORD, she can, has, and is, very elastic and accomadating to evil, and demonic forces, now more than ever, INCLUDING New Age shamanism. Guest T-Bone
So now, if someone steals aspects of a religion, and mixes it with a false one, that makes the original one false as well? You're stretching more than Gumby here, Budge ol' pal.
