ttomm46
Hi Although I'm not Catholic I am Eastern Orthodox.....Here's my question..I emailed a friend to wish him a happy Easter...I just got back in town from Celebrating Pascha and got an email from him saying i was celebrating a pagan holiday!!!!! He's into some kind of Chhristian Hebrew roots movement that believes the new testament was written in Hebrew..His group doesn't belive in the trinity and that we have to call Jesus Yeshua.. And most of our prayer should be in Hebrew....I'm really not equipped for debating this but what follows is a paste of an email he sent...PS the church he blongs too is some outfit in Florida called the fellowship church..Anyway if you guys can make sense of this lots of luck.. here's the paste. "Thanks for the info-all of it! I will print it out and read it-I have done some reading on the council of nicea but I will enjoy reading this! What do mean 'attacking your faith and God's church..?" I only seek to have the transliteral Word of HWHY! My walk with HIM is centered on personal accountability and a growing relationship with HIM. Since HE has ALL the power, He is constantly forgiving my confessed 'rebellions' to HIS Way and I grow in HIS ways and vision for me/my! We'll argue about easter and christmas and I will hold to Pesach and Hanukkah and Sukkot and Shavout and Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, etc.! If the church believes that Yeshua (jesus) shed HIS Hebriac ways, they are 'gravely!' mistaken! I will get back to you on this and I will research more on Tzemach, for sure! I just ran across them on Sat..the word is "E-cud' means HWHY is one but as with water HE takes different forms just like water can be liquid, it can be ice and it can be steam but ALL are still water! I love the Holy Spirit-Ruach HaKodesh-and life is long and tough time without his inspiration, guidance, refreshment and REBUKE! Let's talk more-these are not sincerely-held allegainces to this ministry or that ministry...I study the TENACH daily-I'm in Yirmiyah-Jeremiah now! This is called 'the old testament' to the euro-americanized church.. Love and prayers! Thank you---" Edited April 9, 2007 by ttomm46

Mateo el Feo
Welcome, Tom! Just curious: is there a reason that he writes the Tetragrammaton in reverse?
ttomm46
Here's the latest someone please interpret: In regards to when/where the Servant referenced the TENACH in the 'brit hadasha' (new covenant) is was or should've been Hebrew! I.e..when Peter and his Hebrew mission team of 6= 7 total, traveled that 40 miles from Joppa to Caesarea (Acts 10:), Peter preached from Deuteronomy 10: v. 17 etc...when in Romans, Shaul (paul) asked for his writings & books, he meant the TENACH-written in HEBREW! TENACH stands for= TORAH-5 books of Moshe; Ha' NAVI-the Prophets and KETUVIM-The Writings! Also in Acts 10: the 'angel' (v.7) visited the non-Hebrew and the Holy Spirit spoke to the Hebrew, v.13! Why? because "Shavuot" (pentecost) was for Hebrews and the non-Hebrew did not have the indwelt Spirit YET! This passage is also known as 'the gentile pentecost' by the insultive type...HE CHANGETH NOT! Great topical discussion-Awe Main! Thanks-- LLLLLLLWWWWWW
Mateo el Feo
I counted six exclamation points and zero periods. My personal opinion: 1) He is rambling. 2) He needs to take a deep breath and try to form a cogent argument which has a point. 3) He needs to write in English. Before the text is "interpretted", it needs to be translated. Maybe English isn't his mother tongue?
ttomm46
heres another ramble all In the Tenach and I will get it for you-HE said he is the "aleph" and "tav" which are the 1st and last letters of the HEBREW alephbet!!! Regardless of pre-exilic or post-exilic placement the Hebrews retained their language--make no mistake! I.e...Mordechai and Hadassah (esther) in Persia! These are good dialogues-I'm blessed you know so much! AMEIN! The one time I leave my bag-with my TENACH in it out in the truck, I regret it BUT I will get you those precise scriptures--but translation means it all...if you trust the NKJ 'bible' you could believe 'unicorns' actually did exist---Deut. 33:17; Psalm 22:21 & 92:10...in Hebrew that ox is called 're'eimem'-kin to a rhino. The Hebrew will unlock those 'mysteries' foretold in the 'nt' I will resume my study of that ministry askancely but I do not/will not celebrate 'good friday' 'easter' 'christmas' 'new year-January 1' again! Let's keep talking! Awe Main! Thanks---
