This is going to be a very busy week so I thought I would give those who may be interested an update on what's been goin' on. Last week I safely traveled to NY and battled the cold temperatures there. Hopefully I have avoided getting sick. Thanks for all who prayed for me. This week I'm going to be very very busy preparing for my next trip. I probably won't be posting much so that's why I started this topic. Tomorrow the hubby and I get to find out if we are having a boy or a girl come June! I'll post the findings on this topic tomorrow or thursday. Next week I'll be in Salt Lake City all week. It looks like it will be snowing a lot. I haven't had any anxiety attacks about this coming trip and I'm trying to keep things positive. Luckily I will not be traveling by myself this time and that makes me feel much better about the whole thing. Ok now for a cool story: on the way home from NY, I met an Army soldier going home on leave for two weeks from duty in Iraq. We talked for about two hours. He had been in Iraq for nine months already and will be going back for four more after his leave is over. I asked him where he had been assigned, etc. Turns out he is part of the peace keeping force in Bagdad and his mission for the past few months was to, get this: guard a Catholic orphanage! He had pictures and everything. I was totally thrilled. There were 13 to 14 sisters there, with 14-15 young girls they were caring for. This wonderful GI and his troops had been guarding them and making the orphanage safe from peeping toms and gunfire, etc. I felt very fortunate to meet my new Army friend and I thought you guys would enjoy this story. Just a reminder that we need to keep praying for our troops in Afghanistan and Iraq, because they are doing great things for great people and putting their life on the line everyday! As for Jared, he's always reading your posts, even if he's not posting himself, so I've been getting updates as to major goings-on here. You want to know something scary? Friday, when I left NY, it was 2 degrees with a wind chill of -13 degrees. When I arrived home, it was 68 degrees. And there I was all bundled up with my long underwear and everything! SUPPOSED to be. For some reason today I had a bad feeling they may send me on another one next week. I am rebelling. Don't worry I don't consider that to be a nosy question, hyper.
