IcePrincessKRS
Girly drinks are fine . . . but once I went out to lunch with a guy who ordered a COSMOPOLITAN!!! I mean, give me a break. If you are a guy, and you order a Cosmo . . . well, lets just say any claim you intended to make to any remnant of masculinity has just been forfeited. A COSMO for crying out loud . . . sheesh . . . Cosmos actually have alot of booze in them. ALOT. Girls shouldn't drink them when they go out.
Muschi
This is one of the funniest threads.......no, actually it IS the funniest thread that I personally have discovered. I tend to prefer, actually pretty much exclusively white zinfandel wine. I love the stuff and have a problem with it because I drink it almost like it's Kool-aid and 99% of the time quit before I get "drunk". That's my main, current struggle. (also I smoke and some here might be able to relate how well cigarettes go with alcohol), gee I hope there aren't any Baptists on this thread and if there are, I pray they don't get offended! - Muschi
Kilroy the Ninja
The absolute best drink for feeling "pleasant" after just one drink is a Long Island Iced Tea. But definately stay away from any drink called a 911. Trust me on this one. ;)
jasJis
Richard, Are you familiar with a beer from a brewery in the York area? I think it's call "Reiggskelter" from the Black Sheep Brewery.... dangerous stuff. :dead:
God Conquers
Don't make me talk about the beers from Quebec. Many are well over 10% and their names are swears.
Matty_boy
that's probably the only intelligent thing ben franklin ever said. the man was voluntarily struck by lightning. That's genius. he was right about beer though.
hyperdulia again
Nanna's Ice Vatta (German + Southern accent...produces strange things) is good. Fill your ice tray with gin. It won't freeze all the way. Take them out the nnext day put them in the blender put a tea spoon of your favorite white wine, a tea spoon of vanilla extract, lemon peel, and one cup of water (my mother adds ice cream instead of vanilla extract)...pour into a Glass Pitcher... Richard
Richard, Are you familiar with a beer from a brewery in the York area? I think it's call "Reiggskelter" from the Black Sheep Brewery.... dangerous stuff. I'm not sure. I had some beer by a similar name in the Lake District last year. It was a truly amesome pint - a potent brew! :D If I remember the actual name I'll let you know (might have to ask my Dad - he's a real ale fan! ) There are literally thousands of small breweries in this country all producing a range of weird and wonderful beers of different strengths. Makes it great fun trying to "sample" as many as possible! If you can get them, beers by Theakstons, Marstons, Banks's, Hook Norton and Wychbold breweries would give a good idea what it's all about. My beloved wife's just gone to the supermarket to get some beer - mmmm can't wait! :D
