hyperdulia again
I'm actually starting to worry about my drinking...I drink less now that it's legal than I did when I was 18/19...that seems wrong...I must drink for Al and Pal and SIGGA and all the others who are to young to drink. I must never forget the amesome power of gin and vodka, ever. I vow that from this day on I will drink for those who cannot drink...I will drink for those who will not drink...and for those who dare not drink. Precious bejewelled drop of alcohol onto my lips thou must fall!

Azriel
Funny true story about how seriously Canadians take their beer: My hubby and I were on a trip with friends to Toronto. My best friend doesn't drink because of the rampant alcoholism in her family. However, she does enjoy the taste of non-alcoholic beer. While in Toronto, we were at a restaurant and she asked (knowing that Molson makes a non-alcoholic brew) if they had it. The waiter looked totally perplexed, and said "You want water, ma'am?" After 10 mins of trying to explain what she meant, she gave up and drank the water.

socalscout
In the UK, we mix half cider and half lager to make "snake-bite" (a potent brew!) Put a shot of blackcurrant juice into the mix and you've got "diesel" (about which my mates' band wrote a song!) Add in a shot of Vodka and you have "turbo diesel"!!! It's a bad habit kids, stick to beer! (proper beer, not watery lager stuff!) :D I've had my share of Snakebites and Black Velvets. Too good to put down. Black and tans are a favorite as well. Lounge Daddy
... Honey nectar of the night shift? My cousin has always said “God bless the man who first ran hot water through a pile of coffee beans and drank what came out of it….”

BullnaChinaShop
beer is disgusting. So is coffee. So is tea. I pretty much agree with this as well. I might drink a beer every once in a while if someone offers me one but I really dislike coffee and tea. I love a good rum and Coke/Dr Pepper/Sprite. Especially vanilla rum and Sprite.
