Christopher Walken Rocks!

Well, since it was brought up in the Johnny Depp thread....

Here are some reasons why Christopher Walken is awesome:
He can not only act in movies as both the villian and the average joe, he is a great comedian on SNL, a great thespian in theater and can dance like nobody's business. He has stayed faithfully married to his wife for over 35 years and even though he usually doesn't play the guy next door, that is just what he is. And oh yeah, he's an Oscar winner too.

Some trivia: did you know that he was slated to play Han Solo before Lucas discovered Harrison?

This is one of the funniest picture ever because he's scary and just says "RAAAAAAARGGGH!!! ARRRRGGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!" in Sleepy Hollow and in this picture he's laughing with those spiky teeth of his.

FYI he isn't Catholic but was raised a Methodist and is a deeply spiritual man -- some quotes from Parade and GQ:
"God is very mysterious to me," he confided, "but I know the power of belief. It's my source of strength." He said he prays for harmony and humility...

"I think that acting is a leap of faith," he continues. "There has to be that moment where you go, I give myself to…the spirit."
I ask Walken if he has any religious inclinations. He gives an incredulous stare, then begins wandering slowly toward the kitchen in search of yet more coffee. "God is the only thing I fear," he mumbles, fading from the room. "God is a fact."

Hi, I'm Bruce Dickinson. Yes, THE Bruce Dickinson.

Ooh, have you seen Envy? Not necessarily the best movie ever, but he's pretty hilarious with an arrow in his back. :)
even though he was prolly involved in a conspiracy for Natalie Wood's mysterious drowning...
How very sad.

It's a sin to slander, cast doubt on and damage someone's reputation and character when you really don't know the facts. The facts we do know: her death was investigated and ruled an accident. Unless you were actually there or somehow involved with the investigation, you really have no right to suggest such things. He would have had nothing to gain from her death, and I don't see what there is to gain from resurrecting tin-foil hat conspiracies and tabloid garbage.

"It was not a homicide . . . not a suicide. It was an accident. The only important thing . . . is that Natalie is gone. All the rest is ghoulish nonsense." Paul Ziffren, Natalie Wood's lawyer.

I really should see that one. Jack Black is hilarious so I imagine having him, Stiller and Walken must be pretty funny.
In 1981, at the age of forty-three, Wood drowned while their yacht The Splendor was anchored at Catalina Island. An investigation by Los Angeles coroner Thomas Noguchi resulted in an official verdict of accidental drowning, although speculation about the circumstances continued.

Wood was on board the yacht with Wagner and actor Christopher Walken. There were reports Wagner and Walken had a loud argument and Wood apparently tried to either leave the yacht or to secure a dinghy that was banging against the hull when she accidentally slipped and fell overboard. A woman on shore said she heard cries for help from the water that night, along with voices replying "we're coming." Wagner, Walken, and the pilot of the Splendor said they heard nothing. Noguchi revealed that Wood was legally intoxicated when she died and there were marks and bruises on her body, which could have been received as a result of her fall. In Noguchi's memoir, Coroner, he stated that had Natalie not been intoxicated, she would likely have realized that her heavy down-filled coat was pulling her underwater, and would have removed it.

At the time of her death Wood was filming Brainstorm and preparing to make her stage debut in a Los Angeles production of Anastasia, opposite Dame Wendy Hiller.

She is buried in Westwood Village Memorial Park Cemetery. She was survived by her husband, Robert Wagner, and two daughters, Natasha Gregson Wagner (from her marriage to Richard Gregson), and Courtney Wagner, her daughter with Robert Wagner. Other survivors included her stepdaughter Katie Wagner (from Robert Wagner's previous marriage to Marion Marshall), her sister, Lana Wood, and her mother. Lana Wood later published a biography of Natalie.
\

Thanks Rev! "Don't make me tell you AGAIN..... about the scooching!" I  it.

I don't like to really give the Wood incident (as far as Walken is concerned) much more attention than necessary (especially in what was supposed to be my Walken appreciation thread!) and there isn't much more to say, really. They had all been drinking. It was a holiday weekend and that is what people do. It was an unfortunate accident, and if I were in their shoes I would feel bad enough as it was without having people suggest conspiracy and foul play.

It's all good, Rev! :)

I always thought "The Trivial Psychic" skit on SNL was hilarious. "You're gonna get an ice cream headache. It's gonna hurt, real bad...right...here..... for 8-9 seconds!"

Here's a montage with Trivial Psychic, Cowbell, and the Continental:

(Walken 2008 is a HOAX, btw...)
