The Common Book Of Prayer (coupled With The Bible)

What is the Catholic Churches position on the Common Book of Prayer? Would this be a good book for a Roman Catholics library, or to be taught to your children? It of course is Anglo-Catholic and can be found coupled together with the New King James version or New Revised Standard Version of the Bible. I personally find much beauty in the CBOP, but I have heard some negative things about this Anglican book. Here is the link:

I think the Book of Common Prayer is used by Catholics in the Anglican Use, with some alterations. I imagine there are certain passages that are questionable/inadequate, but from what I've seen of it, it is certainly beautiful. If there was solid Catholic catechizing going on, and the kids wouldn't ever mistake an Anglican service for the Catholic rite, I don't think it would be a problem.

My prayer book is of course from Catholic Book Publishing, [i] Christian Prayer[/i] and it is great, I love it. But, what I like about the Common Book of Prayer is that, for some Anglican Parishes, it appears to be their service book. Their mass comes from the Common Book of Prayer, that is what I think is totally beautiful.

What I don't get it is why they stray from traditional Roman art such as the Cruifix or the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Any one know?
