First of all, The Bible doesn't say which day of the week Christ died on.
The Jewish Sabbath is from Friday at sunset to Saturday at sunset.

St. John's Gospel (19:31):

Now since it was preparation day, in order that the bodies might not remain on the cross on the sabbath, for the sabbath day of that week was a solemn one, the Jews asked Pilate that their legs be broken and they be taken down.

Jesus was rushed off the cross after his death so that He would not remain up there during the Sabbath. Jesus was murdered on a Friday. He rose on the third day, a Sunday.
Friend,

you know we are cool from our Pm's, I speak here as that friend. In high school I flirted strongly with becoming a messanic jew. I saw evangelical protestantism as in utter chaos and I had some polemical knowledge about catholicism. Jewish religious customs are not the glorified answer you are looking for. Also, you would not be using them properly In the book of hebrews (*which I suggest you read in depth before making this decision) it tells how the jewish customs and religious pratices were a preparation for Christ. Not something to continue doing while being a christian. Paul cites numerous times that we are free from that law, and putting ourselves back under that law makes no sense.

Often times someone who is strong willed takes a minor detour on their way to catholicism. A dear friend of mine strongly considered becoming an anglican, I almost became an agnostic. The common line is to think the Eastern Orthodox is all the good, without the bad. But all that does is show you that Christ made one church. he made one birth right. Everything else is just another man's attempt to reconcile his own epistemology with what the church teaches.

The conspircy theories are interesting, but how valid are they sir? I will entertain them if you want to talk about them.

In my prayers friend
Actually friend, I don't find that I am putting myself under the law anymore.

I want to say that I have been fighting off a religious demon who wants me. It is strong. And while I was battling it, I wasn't hungry, and I couldn't sleep. For the past months, I have been in great derision because Satan hates me and wants me destroyed.

As I learn more and more of God, and more and more of Satan, Satan has decided to make it his personal mission to try to destroy me.

There is such spiritual abuses on me all the time now. It is really, really burdening. But then there are times where the spirit comes to me, and it comforts me. The evils being done to me are melted away instantly, and I could sit there and worship God for hours on end.

And out of that grace God has given me, I feel so humbled and so loved all I can do is honour him for his saving grace. I choose to follow the Seventh Day Sabbath, not to live under the law, but to fulfill it like Jesus fulfilled the Sabbath, even in his death.

In the Bible it says the Sun didn't shine on the moment Jesus died - Sundown, and he didn't appear until Sunday, so he rested in the grave on Saturday. Even his death proclaims the Sabbath, Seventh, Day.

I love hearing your testimony sir in all the passion it envelopes. My question is where are you learning about God. What is your compass, your direction on this path? Why would God condemn religion when that has been the avenue he has used for his creation to find relation with the divine?

There is one Religion, and you are correct.

I don't condemn Religion, I just condemn the religious demons who have taken over. I definitely believe there is something universal about Christanity. How we all can come together and praise the name of Jesus Christ.

But when you add, unless you believe this, that and the other thing you're not saved and are going to hell, that is when you know there is a religious demon attached to someone.

I learn what I learn of God from his word and the spirit. I love reading the Bible. When the Spirit comes into your heart, it feels so powerful and so gentle. It makes you feel so complete. And it teaches you things.

It leads you into all truth, such as casting out demons.

The devil hates me, and takes special interest in me because of my faith. I've had prophecies spoken over me about how the Devil hates me because I am a thorn in his foot. He tries to naw and naw at me, but can't do anything because of my belief in God's word.

My testimony is like this.

I have a learning disability. My short term memory has been rated on a scale that puts me at about the 13th per centile of the human race. Luckily, God balanced that out by giving me a fluid reasoning that has been tested at the highest level a human being can currently be tested at. Two very powerful extremes that use to make life fraustrating for me, especially in this so-called education system.

I grew up thinking there was something wrong with me, and it took College for God to eventually show me that I am capable of so much more than I use to think of myself.

It all came down to one scripture, and after that, I wouldn't entertain any thought about something being wrong with me.

I shall praise thee; for I am Fearfully and wonderfully made, wonderous is the works of thine hands, that My soul knoweth right well. Psalm 139:14.

I started to apply such scriptures to my life, and my life has become more and more like how God wants us to live. Reading the Bible isn't about indulgencies - that's about self. Reading the Bible is about transformation of yourself to become what God wants you to be.

So as I was counted faithful in the small things, like applying scripture to transform my life, God has continued to reveal newer and newer things.

I've recieved lessons from annointed preachers which came into my e-mail address without me requesting such information. I can only conclude God is faithful, and put my e-mail address into the mailing server of someone who doesn't know me. :)

I've learned so many things from the spirit and the word. There is a grand conspiracy and it deals with the very first prophecy in the Bible.

And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; they shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise their heel. Genesis 3:15, JPS bible.

Notice it says they and their in that scripture. That is why I use the Jewish Publication Society Bible for the Old Testament. It is much more accurate because they use the original Hebrew to translate. Who better than Jewish people to translate Hebrew text?

This is a prophecy about the ancient enemy and humanity, not the Devil and Jesus as so many people mis-interpret this scripture to meaning.

It is simple things like this that makes me conclude that the Devil has always wanted to hide things like this from human eyes. If you read that scripture and realize it is us who fight and defeat the Devil, than you'd actually go out and start to fight him in an aggressive way, knowing and trusting in that prophecy - that we subdue the devil and his minions. He, of course, doesn't want you to know that and will do anything to decieve you from believing that scripture, including writting it like this in the KJV and other bibles -

And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. Genesis 3:15, KJV, and most likely all others.

I don't trust 'Bibles' to save me. I've seen enough that each has corruptions.

The JPS Bible is not a Protestant Bible - because it doesn't even have the New Testament. It is the Holy Scriptures of the old testament translated by Jewish people. They don't have a hidden Anti-Catholic agenda, and yet, their old testament scriptures have all the Messianic Prophecies outlined exactly perfect as well.

This is a good statement. I myself am somewhat pleased with your testimony. Keep up the good work. I must add that you are not the only one the devil wants dead. I myself have been putting up with terrible temptations, almost blinding at times. Fr Corapi (from EWTN) once said to a group of retreatants after telling of a scene following a police officer to a back ally on a murder scene that "the devil wants your daughter dead in a garbage can". He wants that for everyone. Keep taking responsibility and find The Good. I hope you will find what you are truly yearning for.

God Bless

The only thing I truly yearn for is to see Jesus Christ on the throne, ruling over humanity for a 1,000 years, so I can come before him, look upon him, and worship him with all my mind, strength, heart and soul.

There is always good. I see things more clearly now. I once thought Catholics are all going to hell. No, that's not happening. There will be many Catholics in Heaven, as there will be many of each religion who are in heaven, because they were part of the true religion, the one who believe Jesus Christ is the way humanity casts out demons and bruises the head of the devil and his minions.

Praise God!
Well said.

I'm not actually doing this to obey the law, but I want to see all that God has to offer.

I'm not on the - you must obey this or that to be saved. I just want to honour God by honouring his law when it comes to the seventh day. I love God so much. He has been very gracious to me, for all the things he has delivered me from.

I've had to fight so many strong religious spirits in the name of Jesus Christ. And God has delivered me from them.
Well, good job on fighting those religious demons. There are many people who possess them and praise Yeshua that you were delivered.

That is why I have such hope for humanity now.

Jesus smiles upon all those who call out upon the name of the Lord. He will deliver them, I know he will.

So, basically your staying home Friday night, and all day Saturday? Forget the Religious aspect of it, that's just being a prude.

Who ever said staying home. I'm saying not doing any work and worshipping and relaxing! If that means going out and taking a swim, or going to the Library, or any number of things - then let it be so.

You should maybe look into the Oral Tradition of how to keep the Sabbath. For Jews, Exodus 16:29
"See that the L--rd has given you the Sabbath;…let no man go out of his place on the seventh day." means that a Jew is forbidden to walk more than 0.7 miles beyond his/her city's perimeter. Be mindful of things like that. I'm sure you could find more...

Making other people work is just as bad as you yourself working.

yeah, one of my priest friends is really good with that. He really stresses trying to avoid shopping on Sunday because then you are advocating someone else's working.
