Paddinton, for me, although there were plently of other bears I really liked.

As a kid I was more into bunnies. My grandfather got a stuffed animal bunny at Dunkin Donuts when I was born and gave it to me. I still have it, although it's getting a little dirty. ( I am almost 16 now)

my favorite was Winnie the Pooh.

We had a record (you know, those big black plastic disks) of Winnie the Pooh stories, and we listened to it over and over and over again as kids.

I also liked Paddington and Corduroy (has he been mentioned?) and the Berenstein Bears.

I love Corduroy!

I am voting for Fozzy Bear of the Muppets. I really liked him. :carebear:

I used to have a Fozzy Bear stuffed animal, but I called him "Wacka" because he always said, "Wacka, wacka, wacka!"

After running this thread I had no idea there were so many bears - and this does not include anonymous bears like 'The three bears' wow

I just recently introduced "The Muppet Movie" to my kids. They were concerned that it was a baby movie (Sesame Street being their only context for muppets). But they loved it.

For those of you who recall I am trying to adopt an Ethiopian 'Street kid' called Alex. His favorite 'companion' is undoubtedly his Polar Bear - which he had no idea what a Polar Bear was until he saw them on line. I view this with so many mixed emotions as Alex is now some 5000 Km away and his fate very much in the balance... I smile whilst holding back a tear.

Alex is going on 13 or perhaps 15 - we do not really know. But this was his very first Teddy Bear or even cuddly toy. He was so impressed and was never apart from it.
