jswranch
I am giving a presentation this Sunday to a Christian history/doctrine group (mix of Orthodox, Calvinist, Non-denom, Evangelical, etc) on the heresies on doctrines of the 1st century. I plan to cover Gnostics, Docetists, Judaizers, and Nicolaitans. As for doctrinal issues, I am not sure what to discuss. Any tips, links, or advise? Thy Geekdom Come
http://www.phatmass.com/phorum/index.php?s...mp;#entry899111 You might also consider the book Dissent from the Creed by Richard Hogan, which is a pretty elementary, but thorough, book on the heresies...it describes the historical background, looks into the reasons for the heresy, and then shoots down the heresy. goldenchild17
I was about to say that you could go through the heresies and point out the correlation to many current protestant beliefs, but... that probably wouldn't go over to well.
