Thy Geekdom Come
...you debate with others over whether "How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria?" was really an appropriate entrance hymn for the marriage of Baron Von Trapp and his bride, Maria. [/quote] I KNOW!!! I have always thought that was weird... silly musical format... "We need a reprise-- let's stick it in the wedding, even though it makes no sense!!" How do you solve a problem like Maria? Marry her off, I guess.

djc08
Community Theatre did Sound for their summer production and I've never seen the wedding part of the movie and when I was helping out with it (lights and backstage assistant manager) I was telling the pianist (who is converting to Catholicism) that "Problem Like Maria" isn't a very accpetbable soung for the processional...and then I watched the movie with him and his wife that afternoon and understood... kateri05
i'd like to think that it was a musical reprise montage for the viewer, but those amazing rocking nuns would have made sure to choose an appropriate hymn for processing in. cuz um yea, i'd totally already thought about that :

Maria
I am so not into that movie. Partly it's because I like the book too much, and partly it's because everybody sings that song at me.

I want to play Prince Charming. The first, not the second.
