heyyoimjohnny
Hello everyone. I'm looking for some pointers here. Does anyone have any good sources for developing virtue, both personal and in a family setting? I have Peter Kreeft's Back to Virtue right now, and I'll be digging into it again soon. It's very good, but it focuses more on the beatitudes than the cardinal and theological virtues. Not that the beatitudes are a bad thing, his writings are rather fantastic. But I'm looking for something more down-to-earth in really understanding the virtues so as to competently undertake developing them. If anyone has any ideas, thanks a million! God bless and Mary keep you all! ... also, any personal thoughts or insights into the development of virtue (both personal and in a family setting, or trying to develop virtue with other people) would be wonderful as well! Hirsap
You might want to consider: An Introduction to the Devout Life, by Saint Francis De Sales There's a work I think by Saint Alphonsus Liguori on the seven capital sins as well.
