Thy Geekdom Come
I suppose it would depend on whether the person's goodness was in the natural order or the supernatural order.
Proud2BCatholic139
We can not judge one's mortal state. If you have a mortal sin and don't know about it, then it will not be mortal because it didn't meet the three criteria in being one. If you die without mortal sin, you will reach Heaven someday. Most people go to purgatory. Good people who refuse to accept the church and doesn't beleive in God will have minimal or no chance in Heaven. Those who are ignorant should be instructed, but being ignorant and refusing to believe are different things. We are not God, we can not judge, but assuming will not lead us anywhere, it will lead to more debate on God's Divine Will.
curtins
the deffinition of good is acting according to its nature. We were intended to be in a state of grace and with out sin. So if we act and live without sin and in a state of grace then we are acting according to our nature, therefore we are good. Therefore we will go to heaven. So no- there cannot be any good people in hell. Hell is for the wicked, heaven is for the good.
catholicinsd
Because ours is a God of Mercy, the populance of Hell is rather low.

[b] 13 Enter ye in at the narrow gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way that leadeth to destruction, and many there are who go in thereat. 14 How narrow is the gate, and strait is the way that leadeth to life: and few there are that find it! Paddington
but we can know, according to the teachings of Holy Mother Church, that persons with mortal sins for which they were not invincibly ignorant will not be capable of entering heaven.
the divine mercy (a private revelation i might add) does not preach your gospel of Universal salvation. Our lord makes especially clear that MOST people will be damned. Living in the world today, i am not surprised by that statement.
Ash Wednesday
WHY are there ever polls and posts about stuff like this? We can never know the answers to questions like this and it's pointless to speculate. Seriously. Let's all hold hands, chant red rover and run into a brick wall together at the count of three for fun. It makes about as much sense.
