Totus Tuus
The founder/leader of the sect had a plan to convert a large number of high-profile religious persons a few decades back, including Mother Angelica and Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen. Looks like he wasn't very successful

prose
They are very wise in their brainwashing techniques. Once Hollywood is converted, youth will follow.

Phoenix Reborn
Could Cruise be the Anti-Christ?
Jesus_lol
i dont think anyone takes cruise seriously anymore. i little while ago he tried to convert david and victoria beckham, and they told him, in no uncertain terms to "**** off!!! we are not going to give your or your cult any money!" then kicked his butt out! : Edited January 24, 2007 by Jesus_lol
HeavenlyCalling
Actors need to shut up and act. Singers need to shut up and sing. I watch and listen to them for their respective talents, not to hear their political views. That is why I love country singers ( - the Dixie chicks, most country stations I listen to dont play them any more ) they just sing their songs, throw in a cute story about thier kid every now and again, and when you go to see them live to get a concert, not a rally. It's so simple I dont know why bimbos like Paris Hilton ( shudder) or Barbara Striesand ( double sudder, but I liked 'Hello Dolly' ) dont understand it. Being famous is not only an opportunity to bless the world with your talents, but also to spread the Gospel in ways besides your respective talents. I know this is more of a "if it were a perfect world..." scenario, but still, I don't think it's right to say that all performers should do with their fame is perform when there are perhaps other very good things they could be taking advantage of their fame to do. In Tom Cruise's, Barbara Striesand's, and Paris Hilton's cases, though, I am certainly in agreement with you :

SJRod55
A sad state we are in when someone the likes of Tom Cruise can be the second Christ. Praise the Lord for Papa Benedicto XVI
