Clown Mass (yes, Its Real)

What do you guys make of the clown's explanation for turning the mass into a circus?

On the flip side a miracle occurs. At 6 minutes and 10 seconds one brave soul stands up for Christ and Holy Mother church by speaking out against the sacrilege. Unfortunately he is laughed at.

Anway, hate to be a downer but this is what really goes on in some places. :(

God bless that brave soul, God have mercy on those that laughed or did nothing.

How did I know that would be from a diocese in California...

One of the commentors on Youtube posted this, which is from John Corapi - "If you walk into a church and see the priest dressed up in a clown costume, know who laid out the vestments... Satan."

Let's bring out the Reform of the Reform and stand up against such liturgical abuses like the brave soul from the video.
Yeah. It might as well be you guys from phatmass. Reform isn't going to come from the Princes of the Church, the Bishops and Cardinals who let this happen and don't discipline the priests.

Hey, does that make you all Protestants?

It would, if we were protesting what the Church actually teaches. I would say that the council of Trent was a protestant as the dude who cried sacraliege, in that Trent was [s]protesting[/s] reacting to the protestant reformation.

As a priest and a clown, I hate when people do this. The unfortunate thing is that the man who stood up was completely ignored and the priest made light of the whole entire thing. In terms of the Mass, there is a time and a place for clowns, and that is neither the time nor the place.

It is really sad. I do not envy my bishop, because I am sure he has heard or will hear about the goings on in CA. Pray for him...

As a priest and a clown...
Now, how many people do you know who can start a sentence that way?

I agree... time and place.

To allow my inner child to come out and play? To live in a world of imagination, magic, and fantasy? To make children and adults laugh and allow them to be entertained. To not take myself so seriously and just have fun? How can it not ;)
