Anything4Him
I am just wondering if it is permitted by the church to circle around the altar during the consecration of the Eucharist?... I thought I saw somewhere that it wasn't but I'm just checking. I have nothing against Lifeteen, but I do not agree with that practice.... That time is SACRED and I don't think people should do that...
cappie
Issued by the Office of the Sacred Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, February 17, 1981. Notitiae (17 [1981] 186)) reaffirms that the priest may never invite the congregation to stand around the altar and hold hands during the Consecration. He stays in the sanctuary and we stay outside of it.
