Moneybags
I know there are more SJV seminarians here. I believe they are on retreat now, so they probably won't post for a little while. Plus, the whole seminary will be at the March for Life in DC.
the_rev
St. Benedict, You may not realize but those at SJV are not allowed to post on forums, have blogs, etc. There only form of communication is email. However, I can tell you who are the seminarians from pm at SJV: Phikoz, Slywakka, Vianney, (there might be a few more.) Past: PioNono In Christ, Edward
I didn't think so. I know some blogs like myspace are not allowed. But isn't Typepad and Blogger allowed? I thought I read that Fr. Todd Reitmeyer (who died), used to blog throughout the seminary and as a priest.

Edward
+ I knew about the blogging, which is fairly recent (the last couple years), but I hadn't heard anything about posting in forums... I can guess, but I'd be interested to hear Fr. Baer's reasons.
Veritas
+ I didn't know SJV is going to the March! I feel so out of the loop! lol. Seriously though, that is AWESOME!
the_rev
St. Benedict, I think this blog of a seminarian will verify that Fr. Baer in 2006 started this new rule. http://collegeseminarian.motime.com/ I would think the reasoning is that maybe some people could have an online relationship and were not suppose. I also think that it is to keep what happens in the seminary in the seminary, not on the world wide web. A disgruntled college seminarian posting his feelings on the net, probably brought this inititive on anyways. Also in seminary you are not allowed to use instant message systems. I think forums are a no no. I know Pio nono was able to post on the forums duirng his seminary time there but that changed when he was in major seminary.
