Lounge Daddy
wow - I just logged on to check the news... he has been so sick so often - but I am still shocked "My family joins me in sharing the difficult news that Gerald Ford, our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather has passed away at 93 years of age," Betty Ford said in a brief statement. "His life was filled with love of God, his family and his country."

Lounge Daddy
I just came back from the President Ford Museum Holy cow, the crowd is already gathering! - I live only a few blocks outside major Downtown G.R. – Holy carp, a crowd is already gathering, planting candles on the fountain outside the on the mall. It’s beautiful – esp considering his death was only announced a few hours ago. A few museum workers are present, and have opened the entrance to the lobby, where a book has been placed allowing a visitor to sign condolences. I am honored to be on the first page – woot! (That was my pride talkin’) Anyhoo I left a lit candle on the edge of the fountain and took some pics As I was leaving, many various news vans began to pull up at the museum. As soon as I can I’ll post a few pics. God bless America God bless President G. Ford God bless Grand Rapids.

Lounge Daddy
Btw – I have been to the museum several times today There is constant coming and going of people (and there is always a waiting line) sighing a commemoration book in the Presidential Museum entry-lobby that is now open 24hours. The candles and wreathes have been removed from the fountain in front of the museum entrance to the large lighted sign by the museum entrance near the street. Naturally, the museum parking lot has become a hive of news vans, busses and the various news teams that are making a temporary residence in this specific Grand Rapids parking lot. I will report more later…
