Guest JeffCR07
Well the statement I quoted in my first post was the following:
Has God's wrath more been redirected than ended, really? It is now directed towards the perfect sacrifice of Christ rather than us (at least those who make up the mystical Body of Christ).
Maybe its just me, but the first time I read this, I got an image of God as a sniper aiming for mankind, but Jesus jumping in front of us and taking the bullet. I just thought that, at first glance, someone might come away with the impression that God's terrible wrath simply must hurt something, and that wrath was just "redirected" from us to Jesus, and that would certainly be a skewed image : But hey, maybe I'm just weird and no one else would have taken it like that Your Brother In Christ, Jeff

It's easy for us to think that God "sends" people to Hell. I suppose that's because we view Him as being in control of everything, but at the same time He gave us the gift of free will. Since we've all chosen to reject God through our sins, it's really God who brings us up to Heaven.
