For Two Friends

The first is dealing with the reappearance of a cancer thought to have been in remission.

The second fell off his roof hanging Christmas lights.

Omnipotent and eternal God, the everlasting Salvation of those who believe, hear us on behalf of Thy sick servants Ron and Dan, for whom we beg the aid of Thy pitying mercy, that, with his/her bodily health restored, he/she may give thanks to Thee in Thy church. Through Christ our Lord.

Amen.


God, grant me the courage to change the things I can change, the serenity to accept those I cannot change, and the wisdom to know the difference.
But God, grant me the courage not to give up on what I think is right, even though I think it is hopeless.
