musturde
Hermits = men who live in the desert to purify themselves, don't eat much, and enjoy silence. They are pretty much monks but not with a group of men. Hermits may see people. St. Anthony the Great was a Hermit. Btw Fr. Anthony, a hermit who I believe may be a saint, allows people to visit him. Once when we visited him, he was so busy (talking to people in confession. He spends about 30 min for each person) that he didn't eat lunch. Lunch was the only meal he was going to eat that day (I'm not sure if that's how it always is). Btw Fr. Anthony is not young and his hip is broken. I don't know if he's still seing people. A prayer would be appreciated. Edited January 19, 2004 by musturde
