MrsFrozen
Hi, everyone.. Hope all is well with you. Yesterday, FrozenCell and I had the opportunity to attend a Prayer Breakfast for Life, rally, and march in Raleigh, NC. It was truly amesome and so inspirational. I wish all of you could have attended with us. We had a speaker at the breakfast, Msgr. Jim Lisante. He was one of the best speakers I have ever heard on this topic--truly gifted, and the Lord was speaking through him. We had a representative of the House there, people running for office, and a Congressman. There were a few thousand people at the march and rally. And, of course, no media coverage. We can count on no one but ourselves and God to get us through this, and EVERYONE needs to help. We can, and will, be successful in making abortion illegal, but it will be a longer and harder battle if we don't join together in this. Sometimes things seem hopeless. Sometimes we think that abortion is so widespread, such a huge problem that we say, "I'm just one person. What in the world can I do?" Remember that the devil wants us to despair, wants us to think of this as a losing battle. For nothing is impossible with God. --Luke 1:37 There are several ways that you can do your part in making this country pro-life. 1. Register to vote. You can do it here. It's very easy! 2. Look up the congressmen and representatives in your area. Write all of them! Encourage the pro-life ones. Express your concerns and opinion to the pro-abortion ones. You can look up these politicians here. This site tells you who's pro-life and who's not, gives addresses, and how they voted on pro-life bills. Consider writing them through the mail or even calling them. They get TONS of email and email's really easy to delete. 3. Make a donation to Right to Life here. 4. PRAY! It's free and doesn't take much time! God is always listening. Encourage others to pray. Pray the rosary for the unborn. Never forget them. Go here to submit a pray intention for others to see. 5. Attend rallies and marches. It will help to keep your hope and morale alive. 6. Say this pledge and stick to it. Print it out a give it to your friends and family, too. Share it with everyone and tell them to share it, too! I thank God for today and the gift of my life, and for the lives of my brothers and sisters. I know I am responsible for the unborn who cannot speak for themselves. I know that the most serious tragedy of our day is the tragedy of abortion. Today I commit myself Never to be silent. Never to be passive. Never to be forgetful of the unborn. I commit myself to be active in the pro-life movement, and never to stop defending life until all my bothers and sisters are protected, And our nation once again becomes a nation with liberty and justice Not just for some, but for all! Amen. I am devoting my life to this cause by getting a degree in sociology focusing in human services. Please pray for me that I may always be bold and courageous, and that I will not cry when I talk about abortion. Please write any more ideas you have on how we can contribute. Thanks for reading. God bless. :) Edited January 19, 2004 by MrsFrozen
PatrickRitaMichael
Well, you can bring the message to your college campus! The University of Michigan Dearborn is sponsoring a lecture by Sally Winn, Vice Prez of Feminists for Life on Feb 18th at 3 pm in the CASL building if anyone wants to come. Getting pro-life speakers and engaging others in conversation is a good way to help people rethink their positions and maybe understand yours (ours?). Also, this is more of a 'what you shouldn't do' than a suggestion, but don't donate money to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation (that also means no Save Lids to Save Lives by Yoplait or other companies that support this org). They give limited grants to Planned Parenthood to do breast cancer screenings (I emailed them about this so I know it's true). Even though they're not directly funding abortions w/ these grants, they are freeing up other money to be able to be used for abortions and so it's just as bad. If you want to help fight cancer, donate to the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute or some other org, but not them b/c you'll be indirectly funding the largest abortion provider in the country. jmjtina
Thank you Mrs. Frozen! It is so amesome to see someone so passionate about stopping abortion. I will definitely pray for you! United Way also helps Planned parenthood so I don't donate to them either. Priests for Life also does great work for the unborn. I try to support this organization whenever I can. We must always speak up for our little brothers and sisters who have no voice but our own. Also check out: Silent No More Are they coming to your neck of the woods? :)

Lil Red
amesome, Mrs. Frozen!!!! Amen!!!! A Catholic church here in my town does a youth rally for the unborn every year - this coming Sunday - Respect Life Sunday - we're having the 4th annual one! At the end of the night we do a vigil for the unborn. We go to one of the local Catholic cemeteries and gather around the unborn part of the cemetery and hold hands and pray the rosary! Thanks for your encouragement!
Lil Red
Click here I found this article and it's quite disturbing. No graphic images, just VERY disturbing facts. The cynic in me says that it's not true - it couldn't be! - but they very well could be.

PatrickRitaMichael
That link to the selling of parts is disturbing but not surprising. I just read the book "The City of Joy" by Lapierre and he mentions that many women in the third world are taken advantage of by offering 'large' (for them) sums of money to abort their children (children they would otherwise give birth to) in order to be sent to labs in Europe and N. America for research (or worse, to be used to make high-end beauty products!! ) where traffic in aborted fetuses from those countries is illegal. Maybe it's becoming legal now to use N. American and European fetuses for these purposes now? I don't know, but that's sick. Edited January 20, 2004 by PatrickRitaMichael
FX2
two things ive done: 1. Get a group/ go with a group that prays infront of the abortion clinic weekly. Dont go on their property tho...they get angry, plus they could call the cops if u did. See if theres any places near the entrance that will let you pray there. It really is a different ( i would say humbling but i dunno if thats the right word) experiance to see a woman going into the clinic to murder her child. 2. make a rap song about it. (thats still in the works. lol) :D one thing i havent done: 3. I havent done this, but go to the March for life! My youth group goes every year and they say its awsome. too bad i always have finals that week oh yeah and one other thing...on my aim profile i had a link to pictures of aborted babies. ( www.survivors.la ) . I actually got one of my friends to tottally change his views on abortion. Its like evangelization (sp) without even speaking! :D Edited January 20, 2004 by FX2

MrsFrozen
Hi, everyone.. I am including a list here of companies which support Planned Parenthood. Companies supporting Planned Parenthood This list is a little outdated, though. I have been doing a lot of research, and have discovered that American Express, Disney, and Pampered Chef (which owns companies such as Dairy Queen, Fruit of the Loom, Geico Insurance, and See's Candies) no longer give to Planned Parenthood! These victories came from pro-life people who didn't give up. :D So please disclude these companies from the list. As for the other companies, I have a ton of work ahead of me because I intend to write each and every one of them. I hope you will do the same! Tomorrow I am going to write up a letter to send to politicians. Does anyone know of any more companies which no longer give to Planned Parenthood? Any pro-life companies? I am trying to find a list of pro-life companies and am having trouble. Thank you!! Thank you so much for these suggestions on how we can make a difference!!!!! God bless. :) Edited January 20, 2004 by MrsFrozen
M.SIGGA
If abortion is still around in the future, remember my name 'cause I'm defintly running for public office. I would also say to petition priests to encourage the Catholic youth to run for a public office and defend life totally, from conception to natural death. I was reached at a young age because one teacher at my high school stood up to his associates and let the abortion film be shown to my class. It should be a requirement for all Catholic high schools to show the film, especially at the all-girl schools. They esp need to know what is physically going on. Peace.
