Why you ask?

Holidays there is only one?

HA!

I am Catholic.... I got a Feast Day for every day of the Year :P: ..... and after a Major Feast day, like Christmas and Easter... I celebrate for a good week after that. So I say Happy Holidays all year round. Oh yeah.... :smokey:

And by the way, get your flame retardant clothing out kids, because Polycarp Day is coming up Janurary 26th!!

Why not, Someone pointed out that there were no other holidays besides christmas to celebrate during winter break.
But there are a ton more. And most of them are Catholic Feast Days.

Yepper do - Guilty here.

I was meaning non-Catholic and specifically non-Christian holidays. :P:

BUT very good point made. As Catholics we DO have a LOT of feastdays and holidays to celebrate. Break out the tacos, so very tasty and good for you,! :taco:

My best friend's boyfriend makes fun of us because "Catholics are allergic to fun." We keep trying to explain to him that we have more holidays than anyone else.

He finally started understanding when he found out that some other denominations aren't even allowed to dance/drink/play cards.

a holiday is diff than a feast day... the Immaculate Conception is friday, but it's not a holiday, it's a feast day

So I agree, there's a reason for Caflic partyin everyday! I just don't think they're considered a holiday

Catholics have the best parties! If you look at the nationalities that have a large Catholic population you would be crazy to say that!

The Mexicans are mainly Catholic; lots of parties and cool parades all over the place

The Irish ( the ones here in America) Lots of booze, lots of parties and cool dancing

The Italians; really good food and wine, never met an Italian that didn't like to party, and I have met a few.

Catholics love to party!

How would you say holidays are different than feast days? I'd say it's just all the non-Catholic party poopers trying to spoil the fun. Here in Italy all holy days of obligation are national holidays - it's great!
