jrndveritatis
What I am wondering is how they think the computer program knows when the rapture has taken place if the people that wrote the program are raptured? It is shocking how the whole idea of the rapture has spread just because of the Left Behind books. I guess the books are good in that they expose some people to Christianity for the first time, albeit only skewed version of it. However, they also trap a lot of Catholics and even convince some Catholics to believe in the rapture, or to question the Church through the portrayal of the Catholic Church in the books. The sincerity of their authors is good, but it cannot be denied that they are extremely anti-Catholic. Anyways, back to what I was saying, it is amazing that a doctrine only 150 years old can be so widespread when it is historically obvious that it was just invented, or never thought of by the first nineteen centuries of Christians. PatrickRitaMichael
I went to site and I thought it was a joke. I hope that there is an 'unsaved person' working on that website b/c if they are all 'raptured' then who will send out those emails?! Things like this would be funny if people didn't actually believe them.

Anna
I think I'd like to get a job at that website, if I could get a glimpse of some of those emails! Dear Mom, I've been raptured. Too bad you're a Catholic, but hopefully there is still time for you... Just invite Jesus into your heart as your personal Lord and Savior.... If one of my kids ever tells me that, I don't know what I'll do!!!!!!!!!!! :sadder: :irate: :freak: :spit: :club: :fishslap: :sumo: :stretcher: :hammer: :drunk: Edited January 18, 2004 by Anna

willguy
I e-mailed the guy asking how the program works. No response yet. mulls, honestly, you've got to admit that this is looney. An e-mail that gets sent out after the "rapture" by some computer program that knows when the rapture happens.
mulls
then what's the point of bothering with it?

Circle_Master
What if it was set up to send the email every week and it took human intervention from one of the christians to get it not to send? Then it would be sent after the rapture. There are many ways to get around it, just think about it instead of poking fun. If we were on a protestant board full of postmil or amils this is when one would jump in 'wouldn't we look stupid if those pretribbers were right, haha' edt: didn't mean that to sound harsh, just being blunt tonight. i poke fun of other beliefs myself sometimes Edited January 18, 2004 by Circle_Master
CatholicAndFanatical
Sure there are ways of doing it. Wouldnt be that hard either, just take human effort to let it know your still here. but what if you quit? Youd have some really upset protestants that would be getting emails from people that were supposidly raptured..lol.
