When the term "ethnic cleansing" is mentioned, what continent enters your mind? Does Asia predominate? Is ethnic cleansing better or worse than economic privation or some other injustice?
Different regions may have their own version of racism, but that wasn't the topic of the post.
This is getting nit-picky.

The Chinese regard themselves as destined to rule the world all other peoples as inherently inferior, and this is an ancient tenant of their civilization and culture.

"Ethnic cleansing" is based on hatred of a particular enemy group or tribe, and is usually based on fighting for dominance over some piece of land. Certainly no less evil, but of a somewhat different nature.
Also, I remember reading how there are common misconceptions regarding "ethnic cleansing," and how not all of it is to the same degree. This terms covers everything from the extreme evil of actual genocide to trying to remove enemy groups from a particular area of land (which is different from trying to wipe them all out).
This stuff boils down to tribal warfare (which can get very, very ugly).

But this is all getting way off the original topic.
And I don't think the point was about which people are the most racist, but rather how types of "racism" vary around the world.

this debate board seems to have a lot of questions that are...slightly absurd. I answered the poll anyway.

Interesting to note that segregation is going on still today in the US. not in the same form as what it was prior to the civil rights movement, and not in law, but in how we act as a society.

oh, and I didn't read the whole thread so sorry if I sound like a broken record.
