Sojourner
Cutting is more permanent, it's true, although I don't have the corkscrew curl problem that you've got. Color is just so much more expensive, unless you get the drugstore stuff, and that doesn't do good things to your hair ... I get all frizzy and split-ended. Carrie
The thing about color is you can always color it BACK to your natural shade. Cutting is more of a pain, especially with curly hair that spairals as it grows. Ugh!
Amen to that! Most times I decide to cut my hair, I end up hiding in my home for a few weeks.
cmotherofpirl
I wear mine mostly in a bun, and when I have it down and glance at it in the mirror, I am always surprised how long it is.

franciscanheart
okay so you know when you have a friend who ALWAYS wears their hair up and then one day, for whatever reason, they have it down and youre like because its always so much longer than you imagined and always so beautiful? yeah well im going back to that too. i always used to have my hair in a pony tail. ALWAYS. then i started wearing it down with some sort of little something. then i went to buns. then when i became obsessed (maybe thats a little too strong of a word - that is more appropriate for phatcatholic ) with long hair and having it, well i started wearing it down again. now im back to wanting to keep my hair up. it kinda goes along with my ideals for what i would look like to men. i like the old fashioned "keep your legs covered (long skirts) and keep your hair up and tidy" thinking. so im back to classic buns. occasionally ill do a french twist or something just to varry it some for my sake. anyway... here it is... (kinda dark) edit: okay really dark. Sojourner
Has anybody tried any of the "simply (whatever hair color)" lines of products? I just got the simply brunette today to try it out because it was on sale at Target ... I'm curious to see what effect it'll have on my hair.
