Silly Question

Is it bad if you say "oh my goSH" or "geez"?;) Someone told me onetime that you shouldn't say those b/c they symbolize God and Jesus. I was just wondering? If it is wrong, let me know about some other exclamation I can use instead! :)

ive heard that situation too....and the reason my mom told me not to say those is that although they are not "God" and "Jesus"...they do sound very similar and could therefore be falsley mistaken for you saying them

thats my $.02

peace and God bless

You both have really good points! I try not to say "oh my gosh" excessively b/c it's annoying, and b/c i have been worried that it wasn't the greatest thing to say. it's so confusing!!

I say it's just a replacement of them... so what if it sounds like them, if you have a prob saying it then stress the "sh" in "Gosh" and if you have a prob with "Jeez" then instead just say "Jeaves". :P

NewReformation

I once knew a preacher who had part time work as a capenter, and everytime he banged his thumb or something like that, he would yell out "Amen!" or "Praise the Lord!" or "Hallalujah!" or something like that.
