It's hard to actually relate to a saint, its also hard to know a saint really well. But if I had to choose a couple, I think I would go with St. Francis of Assisi, or St. Clare, St. Faustina, St. Therese of Lisieux, maybe St. Joan of Arc? I don't know it's hard to tell when I never knew them personally or anything, I only have the knowlege of them through books and biographies.

It'd be interesting to know why everyone chose the saints they did. Why did you feel a relation to each saint?

I'll go first:
Saint Francis of Assisi - for the love of God, he humbled himself to work with the poor and unwanted. I too find God in His beloved poor - and I wish to serve them as Francis did. I also have a deep love of Christ crucified.

Saint Maria Goretti - I have always been facinated by Maria and like her, value my purity very much. I could only hope to have the courage she had and the compassion to forgive!

Saint Thomas Aquinas - He was very studious but often made fun of at school. He was underestimated by his classmates. And if you ask me, he was stubborn.

Saint Peter - I relate to Saint Peter is his zealousness, to the point of getting him in trouble.

Groo the Wanderer

St Mary the Virgin
St Joseph
St Therese
St Joan of Arc
St Peter
St Paul
St Michael
Bl. Teresa of Calcutta
John Paul the Great
St Matthew
St Catherine
St Francis

I tend to go for the heavy hitters since my issues are usually pretty overwhelming.. :bigpray:

I have been praying to St. Lucy since I will be applying to the IHM's on her Feast Day. And since she is the patroness of blindness, I pray that she allows me to see how God is working in my life, and that I am not blind to His will. St. Francis de Sales.....I'm kind of intrigued by him. He had an outstanding amount of patience and his story is amazing. And I always had devotion to Our Lady of Mount Carmel. She has always been special to me, so I pray to her all the time.
