phatcatholic
I just finished a detailed outline of St. Augustine's amazing work De Catechizandis Rudibus (The First Catechetical Instruction). This is simply one of the best works on how to "do" catechesis that I have ever read. It's amazing how relevant his advice to catechists is still today. The first 3/4 of the book is all about technique: how to catechize someone and what to do in certain situations. The last part of the book is an example of how he would tell "the story", or the history of God's dealings with man. I encourage you all to read it. Minus the introduction by the translator and the endnotes, it's only 74 pgs. Let St. Augustine teach you how to teach others! In the very least, you can read my outline and get some idea of how he does it. I attached my outline to this post. The only difference between us in this course is that Nick has to do comps.

There are some downsides. The town is crummy, impoverished (not to negate the blessedness of the poor, but it doesn't say much for the town when there are hundreds of homeless people), filled with drug-trafficking, and has a water supply that is unfit for human consumption...nevertheless, the academics are great.
personally, i don't think its that bad. i kinda like it here. steubenville has everything i need, and pittsburgh is like right there. the whole town isn't crummy, and the campus isn't in a bad part of town. just get a water fiddler for your faucet and you're all set.
It's just not my kinda place. I'm from the suburbs with open fields behind my house...this place is close together, run-down buildings, lots of jerky stops on the roads because no one here knows how to drive (the irony being that I don't have a license, myself), dirty water (seriously, it's yellow and tastes like charcoal)...after living here, I can't wait to get out and live somewhere in the country (Deo volente).
