socalscout
The Liturgy of the Hours rocks. Been praying it for over 2 years. I want to see if my phat phamily prays it too. :incense: I really have to discipline myself to do that and I want to but I just have to get up early enough to start. cmotherofpirl
I have said most of the Office daily for many years. It becomes an anchor for your day. You can find it here under devotions if you don't have a book. http://savior.org/devotions.htm
Im4Him
I pray the LOTH sometimes. I started out praying morning, evening and night prayers everyday, but have gotten lazy. It really is a great way to "frame" your day with prayer.
Muschi
Hey all! I had to go with "I want some tacos, so very tasty and good for you," #1) Because it's true. #2) Because after 1 1/2 years of being Catholic and trying to figure out the Liturgy of the Hours with other more experienced Catholics I have been unable and totally inept at figuring it out so I gave it up for Lent. (just kidding on the Lent part.) I have never in my whole short 34 years of living, EVER come across something so complicated in my life! - Muschi
traichuoi
you know what? i used to be really disciplined with my prayer and prayed the Little Office of the Blessed Virgin Mary every day...i loved it...i think i should get back into that...it really kept my prayer life more consistent... FaustinaVianney
I pray the Office everyday and have been for almost a year! hehe the funny part is that I have only been Catholic for a year and two months! Once you start saying them it is hard to stop. The Psalms become such a part of you!! There is a small book you can get that helps you with the feast days and what psalms are to be said for the day. Advent and Lent do tend to get a little tricky... The Christian prayer is a little different I believe it is shorter because it just one volume whereas the Office if 4 and each book is like $40. I got a couple of books instead of getting come books I needed for school and then the other two were given to me by people in my parish that always see me praying. I love the Liturgy of the Hours!!! :)
