Divine Mercy Chaplet

I know that prayer of the Divine Mercy Chaplet isnt supposed to replace praying the rosary, but if one is not capable of praying the rosary, as one should be able to contemplate on the mysteries intently, is it then acceptable to pray the D.M. Chaplet?

I do try to do both.

What are some things to think on when praying the D.M.Chaplet? I usually meditate on the meaning of the very words in it, and this allows me to thoroughly concentrate on Our Lords Passion and what it means to mankind.

Thank you.

First, there is no mandate that one must EVER pray the rosary. It is simply a personal devotion that is sometimes carried out in a private devotional setting (ie. small groups or larger groups). So, don't think that because one "cannot" pray the rosary, that somehow that person is lacking in his Catholicism.

Secondly, the very same principle applies to the Divine Mercy Chaplet.

Finally, it is always acceptable to pray either, both OR neither.

Hope this helps.
