Pontifex
As a Spiritual Director I must point out something to those who are resisting the sentiment here. If you feel that you are being a loving Christian when you post than this does not apply to you. If however you feel a need to defend yourself, as if this doesn't apply to you, than most likely you need to take that to prayer and submit the working of the Holy Spirit. No one is saying, not to defend the faith. Defend the faith in love. If you have failed at this, then acknowledge it before the Father, holding the hand of Jesus, as I do, and go on. Why are we resisting the call to Love? It is disheartening. I am fully aware of what tough love is, in fact I find it puzzling that someone would feel a need to inform me of its definition. I feel a need to preserve the integrity of this board, because I endorse it with many priests and Church leaders that I come in contact with. This week in particular, because I am in Chicago with various priests and bishops. Continue with your dialogue, wrestle with the issues, but think before you post. In the Love of Christ, Fr. hyperdulia again
I think I know specifically what sparked this, I didn't see anything unloving posted by anyone other than the person who *probably* wrote Father. We all have things that we are overly sensitive about, perhaps it would be better for us to not go near a thread when it is clear that it will be upsetting, than to lead to stifled debate. *Kisses the Holy Hands that elevate Christ in the Blessed Sacrament* Forgive me Father if I've spoken out of turn. Anna
Does this mean no more jokes about the "Holy Sprite"? I'm sorry. I really did enjoy poking fun of that faux pas, though I'm sure I pushed the limits of charity. :(
inDEED
Closing this topic because it is Father's point that needs to be recognized, respected, and appreciated... Not debated...
dUSt
If I may add one thing... As webmaster of phatmass, I look to and rely on Fr Pontifex for spiritual guidance and direction, and will submit to any actions he feels needs to be taken regarding this site. Cyberspace cannot hold the amount of respect I have for him. God bless.
