fearundercontrol
I figured out that if I end up going next semester, I will still be able to take the three classes I was planning on; I'd just have to do one of them online. I'm not crazy about that, but I suppose if that's what I have to do then I'll do it. I just can't believe it's come down to this.
Balthazor
Well do what you need to do and remember, school is second priority right now. First priority is you, and your health.
fearundercontrol
Yeah well the reason school is a big deal is because if I'm not in school, my parents' insurance won't cover me. And $500 a day is a lot to pay out of pocket on a tight budget.
Balthazor
I understand, really I do I put in 4 years for my bachelor's and was under my parent's insurance also. But your 1st priority is still your health, if you have to take courses online then so be it. But take care of yourself! If you get worse you might end up in a worse situtation and then you won't be able to take classes anyway.
fearundercontrol
Yeah I guess you make a good point. This is still a hard decision to make. It's a huge step to take and it's kinda scary.
fearundercontrol
I'm at least 95% sure now that I'm going to do it. Everyone who has been praying for me--THANK YOU.

fearundercontrol
I wish I didn't have to deal with this and school at the same time. I have a bunch of homework to do right now but I am an absolutely emotional mess. I am not handling this whole thing very well. It's just messing everything up. Piamaria
Just finished reading this thread. You are so in my prayers. My older sister almost died because of anorexia. I'm so grateful she's around. So are her 2 children. Please do what is necessary to be well.
-I---Love
I in no way mean to undermine the seriousness of your feelings, thoughts, situation, etc. with a suggestion. I was in a somewhat similiar situation a while back, and I found that physical exercise every singler day really helps a lot!!! Perhaps you already do this. If you don't it may sound like a really stupid suggestion, but I very much know the value in it for numerous reasons. Anyways if you are interested more in why I suggest exercise, if you don't already do so, as one thing that will help or would like any other suggestions or an ear from me, feel free to pm. Btw I don't logon a lot, but if you do pm I will respond as soon as I see it. with love...
cathoholic_anonymous
Advising someone with anorexia to exercise more is rarely a good idea. Most anorectics exercise far too much, and for all the wrong reasons. Devoting yourself to some activity (lectio divina? The rosary?) whenever you feel a compulsion to purge or overexercise could really help, though.
fearundercontrol
[quote name='Cathoholic Anonymous' post='1122023' date='Nov 16 2006, 11:42 PM'] Advising someone with anorexia to exercise more is rarely a good idea. I'm sick of doing this to myself but I can't stop. But I have to be in school taking at least three classes otherwise I don't get insurance, and that would be a real problem because we don't exactly have the $2,500 a week that it would cost w/o insurance. (In the end, if I stay the maximum of the average stay, it will amount to $20,000. And we definitely don't have that.) Besides I don't know how long the intake process takes or if there's a waiting list. *sigh* I just want to get better...
