thessalonian
How obnoxious. I went to a halloween parade on Saturday with my wife and 8 kids. People were coming along handing out there political trash. Pro-abortion supporters trying to stick their stickers on my kids. Then a guy came by and handed my wife and I and oldest son a billy graham tract. That's okay I guess. But he handed all my kids little comic books. I recognized them as chick tracs. Needless to say I took them and ran down and had a discussion with the man. As charitably as I could muster. Not sure he listend. Usual "purgatory is not in the Bible" but he really didn't seem to know that Chick was anti-catholic. I don't think he had read the comic.

cmotherofpirl
It reminds me of the cretins who protest at funerals. Why can't an event simply be what it is...
thessalonian
I was okay with them passing out stuff. Especially with the political stuff going on. But be sure what your passing out is not offensive and don't give carp to kids. By the way I had a brief discussion with Amy Klobachar, the liber democrat running for senate. She said "can't we just agree to make abortions unessary?" I agreed but in retrospect I wonder if that isn't just triing to silence the pro-life arguements against the murder currently taking place. Lil Red
why do people have to give political stickers to kids?
prose
Same reason youth ministers evangelize through youth. Sometimes the best way to reach the parents is through the kids...

[/quote] You know she probably means encouraging contraception, right? Abortion should be made unnecessary...by spreading the love of children, rather than by sterilizing the populace. thessalonian
Anti-catholic comic strip distortions, propoganda, lies, and blasphemies about Mary and the Eucharist (death cookie) by a man named Jack Chick and his organization. That about sums it up. Edited October 30, 2006 by thessalonian

I did not know anything like this existed (though i am not suprised), it is horrifying. So many gullible people read things like this, and take them at face value, without doing the research to back it up.
