Singapore has no morality, they only have OCD.
When one sees a moral wrong he must correct it, not do nothing.
[/quote]

EXACTLY! The Singaporese government sees drug trafficking as a moral wrong; it's bad for a society and it's bad for individuals... and guess what? They do something about it. They don't do nothing. Glad to see you and Singapore are on the same side.

Please explain how it's injustice.

The punishment of Death does NOT fit the crime of drug trafficing

Prove it, using offical Catholic teachings (ie. the Bible, and the CCC).

You would have a very different attitude if you lived in a major urban area where gangs shoot kids and others in "drive-bys", where they corrupt kids' innocence by employing them as lookouts and other roles because they cannot be tried as an adult, where they shoot at firemen and paramedics.

And if you haven't figured it out by now, urban street gangs are the domestic side of the international drug trade.

Well, The CCC says the DP can only be used in extreme cases. Drug Tragficers in Singapore do not consitute an extreme case as defined by the CCC and The Gospel of Life.

If Singapore doesn't have that, it's precisely because of the laws which are in place. It looks like they've proven to be an effective deterrent.

That would be an opinion regarding the application, since the CCC doesn't mention specific crimes or cases. You might want to read up on gangs in prisons, prison violence, criminals escaping prison, running their business from prison, etcetera.

The CCC says extreme cases only. Not a person alive would call firing a gun into the air an extreme case.

We're talking about heroin abusers. Please stay within the stupid pillbox you put yourself in or just wave the white flag. You think drug traffickers aren't dangerous to the state or its citizenry once they are behind bars; I say you're wrong.

And I think I could find some people who think firing a gun into the air is extreme. Ask the parent of a dead kid about that one. I would say the person is probably not dangerous enough to kill, though negligent homicide on that order would be a severe sentence.

As I recall, Singapore is a "transfer point". Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but just because these drugs do not end up in Singapore, they are on their way somewhere else.

Winchester, what made you so trigger-happy?

You're the one defending morons that would fire a gun into the air.
