Question # 27: Are we the only ones, in all of creation, alone on this widdle bitty planet? If so, why is the universe so darned big? a. to have something pretty to look at b. to demonstrate tha awesome power of God c. to populate and explore before Christ comes again (not gonna be in 2407 if so methinks) d. to populate and explore AFTER Christ comes again and we are remade perfectly If not, do the peeps on other planets: a. worship God b. need Christ as a savior? did they also have original sin, or did they remain obedient? c. if they stayed obedient, would that mean their sin-free civilization would remain simple or so WAY more advanced d. do they look like us? hmmmm..... thoughts from all of ye are welcomed and appreciated Edited October 18, 2006 by Groo the Wanderer Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

XIX Posted October 18, 2006 Share Posted October 18, 2006 I'm inclined to think there are lifeforms on other planets (but not humans) and that they don't have immortal souls. Also, it's quite conceivable that we are to populate the universe. I also think He wanted to give us something pretty to look at and also to demonstrate the power of God. But the universe has been around for billions of years. It seems a bit odd to me that God would only wait 2,000 years before coming again. I honestly think we have a lot of time. It doesn't matter, whether or not God chose to create life in any form on any other planet, and whether or not that life has a soul or not, in no way changes WHY God made me, what I here for, or how I should live. the answer of all three is LOVE.
