Pio Nono
JMJ 1/12 - First Monday I was told that it would be a good idea for me to introduce myself. I typically don't do this, but thought it might be for the better (it would make me seem a little less creepy - or at least, that's what I'm hoping for ) My nickname, as you can tell, is "Pio Nono"; it was the Italians' pet name for Bl. Pope Pius IX in his later years as Pope. I go to college seminary in St. Paul, MN, with a man who posts on the Phorum as "vianney". "Fr. Pontifex" is a good friend of mine and was the one who got me here. Anyway, I'm from the Indiana sticks and am a cradle Catholic. I like to fish, and my goal is to someday go sturgeon fishing in northern Wisconsin. I also enjoy watching football, &c. Typical guy stuff. I also enjoy studying philosophy - I'm a dork that way, especially when it comes to ancient Greek stuff. In addition, I enjoy languages - most especially Latin and Italian;another way in which I am a dork. I hope to learn Greek someday as well. My spiritual heroes are Bp. Simon Brute (first bishop of the Diocese of Vincennes), Fr. Pierre Gibault ("The Patriot Priest"; assisted in the bloodless capturing of Ft. Vincennes by Gen. George Rogers Clark during the American Revolution), Fr. Joseph Kundek (founded a number of parishes and a town nearby my hometown), St. Josemaria Escriva, St. Thomas More (chancellor of England and all-around cool guy), and St. John Vianney. cmotherofpirl
Welcome to phatmass. I know a deacon in Alaska who takes people fishing. He just has to make sure that he catches less fish than the Bishop does :D My son likes to diagram googolplexs and my daughter likes to speak in elvish and write in runes. All dorks are welcome here. :cyclops:

Aloysius
 you'd just love that wouldn't you i think it's kinda like E-ville, like Ville as in Villiage, i'm not sure what the E stands for. but it's like i call where I live C-Berry, it's actually Cranberry Township, and the place up the road about 12 miles is Z-Town, or Zelienople. it's one of those hip things us youngsters like to do
